Published in London by George Routledge and Sons. Printed in colors by Edmund Evans. (4 3/4” x 6” 148 x 116mm) Color illustrated glazed pictorial boards with olive green cloth spine. Front and rear covers identical illustration of two young ladies leaning on a sign with the book title and author in dark brown. Color illustrations on each of the first 48 pages by Kate Greenaway. The illustrated section of the book gives the flower name and what it stands for. The following pages give a word or short phrase followed by what flower represents that term, there are no illustrations in this second part. Only 19,500 copies were issued in all the 10 variants.
