Published in London by Frederick Warne, No date, presumed first Warne’s edition, 1896. (10.25" x 9"). First published in 1888 by George Routledge. Pictorial cover board in olive green, with beige cloth spine and black spine titles, color illustration by Kate Greenaway to front and rear (of children dancing in a forest as the Pied Piper plays). A delightful children's story book and enchanting color illustrations on almost every page. Engraved and printed by Edmund Evans, Rose Place, Globe Road, London. Difficult to define the print state.
